Sterling Pacific Staying Green - March 13, 2013

Approximately five years after receiving the initial Green Business Certification from Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program, Sterling Pacific Financial is proud to announce that they have become recertified.

The Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program is a partnership between different environmental agencies and nonprofit organizations. Their goal is to improve operational practices within select businesses to become more environmentally friendly. In order to become certified applicants must reach a certain standard for conserving resources, preventing pollution, and minimizing waste.

Despite Sterling Pacific Financial having received the certificate five years ago, it did not make the feat easy this time around. Standards have become stricter and Sterling Pacific was more than happy to comply. Some of the additional plans that have been implemented include a stricter recycling system where a focus is also placed on purchasing recycled products. In addition, in order to be more energy efficient Sterling organizes the work setting to get the highest benefit from natural light as possible. In the instance where artificial lighting is necessary, low energy bulbs are utilized. Also Sterling makes sure that all water irrigation systems are productive in their role and no water is wasted.

At Sterling Pacific Financial we recognize that we impact the environment. It is our obligation to limit this as much as possible. We are therefore proud to be able to re- announce that we are once again Green certified.
