Called Budget Hero, this fun, free interactive game lets you add and subtract various major policy programs from the budget, so you can see how helpful the choices you’d recommend would be towards reducing the deficit now and in the future. Your choices are also evaluated against social goals (“badges”) you set for yourself at the start. (Concerned with America’s competitiveness, “green” progress or universal healthcare? Sign up to earn those badges through your budgeting process. Other badges focus on national security and limiting government waste.)
