Book Review: Make Your Money Make Money For You - June 22, 2009

If you’re considering trust deed investing (and of course we hope you are!), you might benefit from this clear, concise introduction to the trust deed investment world by Amarjit Ahluwalia. It’s a fast read, yet provides lots of great information about the benefits of trust deed investing (e.g., charts showing possible portfolio growth compared to other secured investments), the basic concepts (e.g., similarities with the kinds of loans banks make – but with higher returns), critical steps (choosing the right mortgage broker) and terminology (useful glossary and document samples).

Our only quibble is that the book’s examples focus primarily on loans to residential borrowers (i.e., owner-occupied homes), whereas our specialty is commercial property loans. However, with Ahluwalia’s introduction under your belt, you’ll be armed with all the right questions to ask to research any mortgage broker in any category you’re interested in pursuing.
